Father's Day Fun

I know that I am a little bit late, but better late than never right. :)

I usually drop the ball on special days and have on Father's Day for the last few years, so this year I vowed to do something special for our wonderful dad and husband.

We were so excited to celebrate his special day that we decided to surprise Derek by giving him his gifts the night before Father's Day. Kennedy and Xander helped me pick out his "Game Chair" and the blue bow to go on it and they were very excited to give him his favorite cookies (I am pretty sure they were more
excited to eat them.) We set up all his presents on the table and waited for him to get home from work.

We hid behind the couch and when Derek walked in we jumped up and shouted "Surprise, Happy Fathers Day!"  It was cute and funny because Kennedy was so excited to yell that she yelled "Surprise, Happy Birthday--oops I mean Happy Special Day--oops I mean Happy Father's Day!" We all laughed and then gave him a great big hug. The kids "helped" him open his presents, and then we ate all of his cookies. :)

**I asked Kennedy what she liked most about her dad and she said: "I like that he plays with me and makes money (my kind of girl). Xander said "My daddy, My daddy is nice."  They both adore their dad and have so much fun with him.  They wait up each night for him to come home and love to hug, kiss, and wrestle him before bed.**

We love our dad to pieces and hope he had a great day.

Hey Kristi! You keep your blog so cute! That was such a fun suprise for Derek- he seriously adores you and i can see why! I'm contemplating deleting mine because I feel like I don't have many exciting things to write about. Anyway, we'll see. But thankyou for all you do for me- I miss you and love you. -em

Kristi,
I miss you!! Cute Father's Day surprize, and on an unrelated note can I just tell you that you are so cute with your little cakes that you pop out for every birthday. I could definitely use some lessons in that category. Love ya!!
