Memorial Day

For Memorial Day we went back to the Biddo and hung out with friends. Kennedy was going to walk in the parade with her old preschool class but we didn't leave our home early enough to make it. :( The drive is about 2.5 hours and I just couldn't get us all out the door by 6:30. I was a little sad about missing the parade but we managed to still have a great day. Here is a video of Kennedy, she really wanted to make a video on Memorial Day, so enjoy my patriotic daughter.

We went to the beach for some much needed relaxation and sun. It was so beautiful! The wind made it pretty cold for awhile, but we are die hard beach bums and toughed it out. My kids love the beach but not as much as I do! I would have stayed all day if I could have. Alli loved the water and it was so cute to see her enjoying the ocean with her daddy (who is completely smitten by this girl).

We then went back to my friends house and had a BBQ. It was a great day, but we had to rush back home so Derek could finish his work. The drive home was not so much fun, and we probably won't be making that trip for quite some time or at least until the beach calls my name. :)

I am soooo wanting to go to the beach. Well as long as I don't have to try and fit into a swimsuit. Looks like so much fun and looks like the kids were definitely soaking it all in. We are somewhat jealous. Kennedy is cute with her pledge of allegience too. I love your cute family and wish we were closer so our girls could be girly and our boys could cause havoc and mayhem together.

How fun! It was quite a bit sunnier at your beach, and yet I still managed to get burned! I got a pic text from Derek and Ashley that same day showing off their burns...when will we learn!! Love you guys wish we could be there!

Oh my gosh that video is adorable. I can not believe she is sooo old. You do such fun things with your kids. I strive to be just as good of a mom. Hope things are well in your neck of the woods.

Cute pics you guys-it's almost as good as being there...no it isn't! I can't believe it was only 3 months ago when you took me to the beach and it was covered in snow and now you are all in your swimsuits! How can it all go so fast??? How come I don't see any pics of you in your suit??? I know youare as cute as Ali... Love you all and miss you so much! Derek-we are proud of what you are doing and Kristi, we are proud of how you keep the home running while he is gone so much! If you need any help, Call the Relief Society to clean your house....Ha! Or get me a buddy ticket and I'll come do it for you! (Not that it needs to be cleaned, it's just a good excuse to come out and see you!) Scott always lets me come when you are pregnant....J/K :) Love Ya'll!
