She couldn't sleep last night because she was so excited. I woke to find her outfit laid out on the floor complete with panties and socks. :) She told me how to do her hair and kept checking herself out in the mirror.
Here is her first day hair and outfit. I love/hate that she is so opinionated on the matter.
Here she is all ready to go but having to wait for the school bus.
Xander waited and waited with us for the school bus and then when he ran inside to use the potty the bus came and went. He was devastated! We had to rush in our car and follow it so he could see her on the bus. He loves his sister and wished he could go with her to school.
Kennedy begged me to let her take the bus to school. I was not too keen on the idea, but decided that if she felt confident enough to do it I would support her.
Doesn't she look so small. My baby on a big bus....(maybe I was slightly emotional at this point.)
On the bus waiting for me to get off.
Driving away with my baby.
She made it safe.
Waiting to go inside.
Finding her cubby and starting to get shy.
Sitting with her new class and potential friends.
Although I wasn't emotional I will say that I can't believe my "baby" is going off to school. I am so excited for her to learn and grow, but at the same time want her to stay my little girl. I am constantly telling her to stop growing but she never listens. :) She is amazing and I love her to pieces.

What an awesome post!! I LOVE how you documented it. She is just darling. I love her hair. What a fun, sweet, confident little girl. Great job, mommy!!!!!
I totally know what you mean...I love the new things noah comes up with but it makes my heart ache to see him so big...I got teary eyed moving his crib out especially when he kept asking about where it went:( But school is so much fun, I still remember how exciting, every year til i graduated, the first day of school was, the smell of new clothes the smell of the diesal from the bus...such fun memories! Thanks for showing us her day you always document things so well, it feels like I was there! Love you!
I can't believe she is in Kindergarten. That isn't fair. Avery still has another year to go. I think I would have a hard time with the whole school bus idea too. So crazy that our kids are growing up so fast!
that is so cute!! I love her hair and outfit! Great job Kennendy! That was so funny about xander i can just picture his face when he came back:) that makes me laugh! Man it is sad that she is growing up but it just makes more room for more babies!!!! love ya guys
p.s. was the bus driver wearing booty shorts? :)
She is so cute Kristi!! How fun that she gets to start school already. You just got saved from one very "I'm so bored" year. Ashlynn was so ready a year ago but the deadline is the deadline. She is so darling with having her outfit already to go. What a sweetheart!!!
