Uncle Tina in Maine

We had just sat down to Sunday linner with my Mother and Father in law when my bro-in-law called and said "Hey we are flying into Maine before we head to Iraq, come and see me". WHAT!@# We thought we would just be able to go and see his plane, but then we got another call saying that he was out of security and we could actually visit with him. We gulped down our food and hurried to the airport to hug and and say good bye to Uncle Austin. We just LOVE him!!!

Alli rushed over to give him so love I think Xander looks like his Uncle and is just as crazy. :)


We headed inside and chatted for a bit while he scarfed down some home cooked food. :) Derek brought to plates and he shared with his buddy. Boy were they happy!

We all love him and are very proud of him! We went upstairs and stood with the troop greeters. It was a wonderful experience to watch these young men pass by us and be cheered on by so many men and women who had gone before. I was so very proud to be an American and was touched by each soldier who has sacrificed to serve our country. We will be counting the days until he comes home and praying for him too!
