Ideas Anyone

Okay all you moms out there (and dads, I don't want to discriminate). I need some help. I am at a loss as to what to make my kids for lunch on a daily basis. I am sick and tired of the same old sandwich, mac-n-cheese, or nugget menu. I just can't think of anything that is quick, yummy and healthy (or at least a little healthy).

So I am giving a shout out to all of you and hope you can give me a few ideas to mix things up bit. Don't let me down. :)

I had a friend who made quesadillas for her kids. Two tortillas, cheese and whatever they like (diced tomatoes are good) 10 mn in the oven and badaboom, voila. She used a pizza cutter to cut them in triangles.
Sometimes I make the kids rice+steamed carrots with a bit of butter. Or noodles with peas.
Good luck my friend!

I am watching your post Kristi to get some ideas too! :) My friend made her kids ramon noodles, with velvetta cheese and a can of veg all... my kids love it and it is easy! We sometimes eat breakfast food (bagals, cereal, eggs) for lunch too! Hey whatever is easy when it is just here.

Ashlynn and Carter love making their own little pizzas. I just use the biscuits that come in those cardboard tubes. Then I flatten them out and put the sauce on (I just use some spaghetti sauce from my good old Prego bottle)and then the kids put on the pineapple, ham, olives, etc. Seeming how we usually have atleast one of Ashlynn's little friends over, it's always a big hit, because they get creative making little faces with the toppings. Also, my kids love when I have crepes (I'll send you the recipe if you don't have one). I'll just make a whole bunch on a Sunday evening and put them in the fridge. Then I just cut up fruit or use the berry medley from Wal-mart and put a little whip cream in them and voila!

We have canned soup almost everyday for lunch. The girls love it, it is cheap, and it is all whole wheat noodles now so it is healthy too. I let them pick their favorite kind, (dora, princess, fish, etc). Campbells also has sales alot and their are tons of coupons available. Works for us!

Kristi- Erin is lying about now being good with meals; every time they are down Erin is feeding him nutritious fun meals. So I think she would be the best to ask. My kids eat healthy until Aunt Ashley comes around and has all kinds of fun snacks she sneaks them!:) how are things?! We miss you...thanks for being a great sister!
