Princess Party

Princess Party!
Kennedy is my party girl for sure! She has been all about birthdays ever since her 2nd birthday. This year she wanted a princess party with all of her friends. We sent the invites and told all the girls to wear their favorite princess dress. It was a lot of fun, and the girls were so excited to be dressed up.
Grandpa and Grandma Neilson flew in from Salt Lake for Kennedy's special day. It was so fun because I didn't tell her they were coming and they surprised her at her friend's house when they went to the door to get her. She then had another surprise when she got in the car and found out that they had brought her cousin Taitem with them too! She was thrilled.

The party started with the girls coloring their favorite princess pictures and then playing "pin the kiss on the frog prince." It was pretty cute and of course most of them cheated. :)
We then played Cindrella's lost slipper. One girl had to hide the slipper in the house somewhere and then the rest of the girls ran to find it. This game cracked me up because they would hide the slipper in the exact same spot 90% of the time. There were a few tears shed if they were not the one to find it, but for the most part it turned out okay.

We then moved onto making wands. The girls love making them and decorated them beautifully.

Presents came next and she was spoiled by everyone! I was so impressed by all the girls, they did not even throw fits about not being the one to open or keep the toys. Kennedy was really happy about all the gifts, and gave hugs to each of her friends.

After presents it was onto cake and ice cream. This year Kenndey gave me a tall order on her cake. She requested a cake with a heart on it, a rainbow, Ariel, the number 4, and her name. I told her I might not be able to do all that, to which she replied "It's only 5 things mom it's not that hard." I tried my best but fell a little short of the 5. Here is the finished product.

When she first saw the cake she said "Mom where's the heart" I explained that I just made it in the shape of a heart and then she was happy.

We then watched an Ariel movie until the parents arrived. I was exhausted by the end, but she thought it was great and that is what we wanted. :) I just love my little princess and I am glad she had a fun day!

You are so good to do all those fun things, I have to start thinking about noah's party, I don't know how to do things without going overboard and making them expensive so I just don't do them. So if you have any ideas pass them along will ya? It was so fun seeing her do cake, she looked so pretty! Miss you guys!

So fun! It looks like she loved all of her little princess festivities. She is such a doll. I had a rainbow/pony request for Ashlynn's cake and I have to say your rainbow is very impressive. Mine didn't quite make the rainbow team, so I'm in awe at your rainbow making skills. It looks like she had a great day. How fun that your parents came out!!
