A Few Random Things

I don't have anything exciting to report or say, but I thought I post a few things that I thought were funny or worth remembering.

Kennedy and I were at Target killing time by looking at the toys. Here is our conversation.

Kennedy- "Mom can I get this?"
Me-"No."
Kennedy- "Why no?"
Me-"You just had your birthday and Santa/Christmas is coming soon."
Kennedy-"Well you could just buy me this today and then write a letter to Santa and tell him what you got me and then he could get me something else."

Kennedy- "Mom and Dad let's do something exciting today."
Derek- "Like what?"
Kennedy-"Um...I don't know maybe like Chuck-E-Cheeses or something." "He is exciting!"

Xander is the sweetest guy ever, but with that said, he is also the worst listener ever! He is going to be the death of me. He gives me a near heart attack on a daily basis.

We were walking down the stairs to go to school (we were late and I was in a hurry) I get Alli and Kennedy in the car and I am calling to Xander to hurry up. I look up to find him leaned over the railing of our three story house. He has climbed up on the boards and is shaking the railing back and forth. I couldn't even move or talk because I was so scared. I finally gather myself and yell at him to get down. I had to run up the ridiculously steep stairs and grab him. I hauled him down and scolded him the whole way.

Well on our return from taking Kennedy to school can you believe what my son did to me again? Yup, he was up at the top while I was getting Alli out of the car doing the same thing as earlier. I don't know what to do with him.
(Pic to show how high up we are)

Yesterday while I was feeding Alli he got into the food coloring and drank green food coloring and smeared it all over his hands and feet. He then took all my sprinkles and spilled them all over the kitchen, bathroom and living room floors. AAHH! When I found him he looked at me and told me he was green like "Hulk Smash" (incredible hulk). What a kid!

**As I was typing this he pulled off and broke our blinds to the front window.**GRRR!

Alli-Bell is a crawling machine! She loves to explore and create more messes for me to clean up. :) She claps her hands when we cheer for her, and she is starting to wave bye-bye. She signed her first word "more" the other day and I was so excited! She loves to eat and so of course her first word would be "more." :)

They are nothing but trouble sometimes, but absolutely amazing all the time. :) I just have to remind myself this throughout the day.

Just know that we pray for him daily! It is amazing what they do
with no thought of what the consequences could be. We went to conference and stayed on the 11th floor of the Shilo Inn. We went out on the balcony and Austin was 2and leaned through the bannister on the balcony, hanging out over 11floors above the swimming pool down below. It still makes my blood run cold!

Oh Kristi! Reading this makes me sad we are not closer. I think Kennedy and Ashlynn are two-peas-in-a-pod. She is always asking me "Mom, are we going to do something fun today?" They are too funny. Xander and Carter could be two little rascals together. I was sure this little one I am having was going to be a girl because I told the Lord I can't fear for any more lives. Girls are dramatic, but with boys you seriously fear for their lives. Apparently he thought differently but all the climbing, jumping, and all such havoch is enough to give a mother a heart attack. Good luck!! I'm sure it will get better. That is what I have to keep telling myself too. Love you!!!!

Thanks for the email, Kristi...it's so good to hear from you! I love your blog, your Xander sounds a lot like my little Michael. He just turned 2 in October and knows how to push my buttons! But he is so dang cute, it's hard to be upset with him for too long.
No, we don't have a blog, but I have a few pic's up on facebook. Just search for my name, I can add you as a friend.
Have a good one, I miss our walks along the Green Belt!

Oh my goodness Kristi! That would be so scary. Xander is still a little climber I see. Glad he is okay.
Will you go to Utah for Xmas or will you stay put?
We also have some news, we might have to move out-of-state. I'm so sad, I love Gilbert:(

Kristy! I really love the Christmas picture you have of the kids!! HOW in the world did you get them to sit still? I cannot get mine to keep their behinds on the floor long enough to get them both in the same picture! :) Yours are all so funny and full or personality! Sure would love to see you all! Love, Michelle
