It is official Derek and I are on our way to enjoying the senior citizen discounts. :) We are now the big 2-8 and I cannot believe it! I know it sound cliche, but it is true--time flies when you are having fun.
So our birthday started (we share the same birthday for those of you who didn't know) with Derek getting me up at 6:00. :( I ran to Walmart without any kids, which by the way is one of the best presents I have ever received. ;) We then had breakfast with the kids and danced to Fifty Cents "Its your Birthday" for most of the morning. Good times! We decided to go to Peter Piper Pizza for lunch with the kids. Thy loved it and it was fun to play games and eat yummy pizza.

We then came home took much needed naps and got ready for cake and ice cream. Derek and I have been married for 6 years, and I don't know if I have ever made ourselves a cake. I always felt silly doing things for our birthday because I felt like I was doing it all for me. This year I decided that even though I felt dumb for doing it, I was going to make sure we celebrated our day. I made each of us our own cake with candles and we sang "Happy birthday" to each other about 6 times. :) Kennedy and Xander loved it and helped us blow out the candles several times.
All and all it was a great day with my birthday hubby!
I promise Alli was with us the whole time.
She just didn't think our birthday was very exciting I guess. :)

Happy Birthday!! I have to agree with Tara that you make me, the fat girl, look awful when you look so great after just having a baby!! Thanks for the comments, it is good to keep in touch, even through small comments. You are so funny "for the love of the Nylons"! Well hope you had an awesome 28th birthday...We are old! But I get to claim 7 years old because of leap year, quite the benefit to having such an odd birthday!!
