Happy Birthday Xander!

What a day to celebrate! Xander started his Birthday by eating a bowl of Fruit Loops for breakfast and then watching "Cars" his favorite movie. We then rushed to get ready and headed off to the Zoo.

We had to be there early so we wouldn't get heat stroke but I think if we had stayed a minute longer all of us would have been in trouble. It was HOT! We had a good time at the zoo, but I don't think we saw an animal for the first hour we were there. They were all trying to keep out of the sun too I guess.

Xander, Kennedy, and Noah loved the petting zoo. They were able to pet a bunch of goats and one wierd looking cow thing. (I am not quite sure what it was).

Xander tried to ride the goats and kept falling on his bottom. :) He also got head butted by a grumpy goat and cried a little while I laughed (what a bad mom!).

We also paid an arm and a leg for them to ride a camel. :) They went around in a small circle twice and then called in good. It was worth it though because how often do you get to ride a camel? The kids thought it was great and that is all that matters.

My favorite animals were the huge tortises. Erin and I laughed at one because it kept trying to escape out of the cage to eat some cactus. I think I felt a bond with this animal because I love eating too. :)

We didn't get to see all the animals but it was too hot to be there any longer so we called it a day and went home to take a nap.

That night we made little pizzas and had cake and icecream. "Cars" is Xander's favorite thing right now and green is his favorite color so I made him a green car cake. (Don't look too closely it wasn't the best job.)

He thought it was cool and so once again, that is all that matters. He was spoiled with lots of presents and every present had something to do with Cars. He got a shirt, a swimsuit, cars, a bowl, a hat, blanket and lots more. He loved it and was so cute when he opened his presents.

It was a long day and everyone was exhausted, but I am glad we were able to celebrate my big boy's birthday. I can't believe he is 2! He is such a joy and makes us laugh non-stop. He is constantly going and giving us a run for our money, but we can't get enough of him and his smile. Happy Birthday Xander We LOVE You!
