My parents came to visit this last week and it was so great to see them! They were able to stay for 6 days and we loved every minute of it (or at least I did). :) We decided we needed to go see some things and of course lighthouses were top on our list. We drove from the bottom of Maine all the way to the top in search of lighthouses, and I think we saw two of the coolest ones. Pemaquid Lighhouse is the light that is on back of the Maine quarter and we were able to go up inside of it. I thought it was a little freaky becasue it was so narrow and clautsty up there! It was really cool because it was pouring when we went and we were able to see what it would have been like during a real storm. The other one we saw was the West Quoddy Lighthouse. I loved this one because of the stripes, and because it was so close to the border of Canada. My kids didn't think the lights were that great, but they were troopers. At the end of my paretns stay my dad would say "Lets go see a lighthouse" and they would yell "NOOOOOOOOOOO!" :)
My parents also tried to go Whale watching but it was too foggy so the ended up taking a 4 hour boat ride and watching people be sea sick. Maybe next time. All in all it was a good time, and I hope they can come back soon. We love visitors so feel free to come on over and up!

Kristi-so fun laughing with you on the phone today! I came home from Boise to find my computer working-shocker! This lighthouse reminds me of a "Where's Waldo Lighthouse" It reminds me of the time I went on a date in Provo and the fancy restaurant that my date took me to had the same wallpaper as the fabric of my dress-I blended right in with the wall!! Same shape, too! MOM
