Labor Day Weekend

On Saturday we decided to go a fair that we had heard so much about. The kids loved it--Derek and I not so much. :) The kids loved the animals and enjoyed petting them. Alli tried to pull a few of the sheep's ears off and Xander wanted to play in their water (UGH) but all in all they thought the animals were great.
Kennedy thought these cows were HUGE.

They loved petting the baby oreo calf!

Big sister Kennedy explaining to Alli all about animals. :)

We then wandered around until we found a spot to watch a trampoline show. I knew Xander would love it, and by the end of the show, we all were impressed! The guys could do amazing things and they go so high.

We found a nice shady spot to watch

This guy rocked!

We had 3 free ride tickets and so we let them choose one ride. Kennedy and Xander thought this car ride was pretty cool and Alli got to go on a Merry Go Round. I am not a big fan of Fair rides, so that was the extent of our riding.

We didn't stay too long at the fair and our kids were not to happy about that. I realized that I don't enjoy them all that much because it is so pricey and scary. We did enjoy our time together, I just don't think it will be on the agenda for next year. :)

That afternoon we went to our friends house for slip and sliding and a BBQ. The kids had a great time with their friends and we did too! We played volleyball, chatted, ate, and laughed. GOOD TIMES!

Here is a pic of everyone searching for Derek's wedding ring. It never was found.

Yummy Food!

We really like Maine, but we like the people we have met here even more! We are so grateful to have met such great and fun friends.

Y'all are the best at making friends quickly whereever you are. I'm so impressed! That is great!

Sorry to hear Derek never found his ring. :(

Derek lost his wedding ring!!! That is so sad. I'm sorry. That happened to an old neigbor of mine(her little girl was playing dress-up outside with it). She found it three years later and after she had gotten another ring. Maybe it will show up.

I wouldn't mind if you moved back to Utah, but I am so glad that you guys have lots of good friends out there. It looks like the kids are loving life.

I thought that last picture was everyone looking for my nose after it was knocked off my melon from a stuffed spike!

I always think fair rides are going to break...but I like to LOOK at them. Ha ha. Scott's wedding ring is in the bottom of the Provo River...they can lament together. :) Hope you're doing well. Your kids are so cute!
