Fabulous 4

Xander had a great birthday week! On Thursday we went to the park with a bunch of friends and had a few presents and cupcakes. He LOVED all of his gifts and even carts them around in a bag all day long. Funny Boy. On Friday Derek had class so instead of having a party we drove down to Portland and while Derek was in class I took the kids to the Bounce Zone with their old buddies. It was the highlight of the day for me. They ran around and had a ball and got rid of all the energy they saved up from the car ride down. When Derek was done with class we went to Chuck E Cheeses and played games, ate pizza and opened presents. Then we headed back to our hotel for some swimming. It was a great day full of fun and smiles. I was so happy to see Xander enjoy his special trip! He is such an easy going guy most of the time that I forget I need to go all out for him sometimes--I am glad we did this b-day. They were so exhausted from the fun filled day that they went right to sleep. Xander said "this was the best day" over and over before bed. :)

Sunday was Xander's actual birthday and he requested an alien cake. I winged it with this cake and was happy it turned out looking like some sort of space life. ;) Xander didn't see it until after church and when he did he was super excited! That boy LOVES aliens.

Derek surprised Xander by inviting some Young Men from the ward over for cake and icecream. Xander adores these boys and was so glad they could come to his "alien party". He gave each of them a ben 10 mask and bracelet and they were such good sports to wear them and play along. :) They stayed for awhile and played aliens like champs!

Alli couldn't wait to get the lollipop from the cake
so she would lick it whenever we weren't looking.

He was spoiled rotten for his birthday, but I just love this little boy to pieces. He makes me smile, laugh, and have a heart attack all at the same time. Happy Birthday to my Xan-Man!!!
