We had a great Spring Vacation. My friend Mary and her kids came up from Portland to spend time with us. Mary and I have alot of fun together and it helps that our kids love to play together as well. We went to Acadia National Park on Tuesday and although the kids weren't all that impressed, Mary and I thought it was great!

Kennedy was really scared up here and stayed close by, Xander ran around and gave me a heart attack.

I took this picture because he said "Don't worry about me Mom, I'm brave."
We then ventured to Thunder Hole. It is one of those places where when the tide comes in it shoots water up into the air really high. Everyone thought it was great (even Kennedy)! The noise it makes is really cool (sounds like a whale's spout) and we were all intrigued for quite some time. The weather cleared up and it was absolutely beautiful. The ocean is one of my favorite things about living in Maine. I LOVE IT!

Great family picture, don't you think?
We all made it back alive after a few stops at some stores for snacks and potty breaks. While in Hannaford, Mary formed a choo choo train with the kids so we wouldn't lose track of them. (I tried to stay at least 10 ft behind so not to be associated with them). :) The kids loved it.
Kennedy was so brave
These two ended up ditching their life jackets and swam like little fish.
Alli loves the teeth. She wants her picture taken with them every time we come.
One happy boy!
They found the lost mittens.

Alli thought they should go on her feet.
Alli loves the boats!

We then headed over to see my good friend Paul.

That evening we went swimming at the hotel. It was the highlight of the day/week for the kids. They had a blast and didn't complain once (except when it was time to get out).
I was very proud of them, especially Xan-man--he is terrified of water.
The next day we made our way over to the Children's Museum. We went right went it opened up and had the place to oursleves for most of the time. :)

We ended our day at McDonalds playland (ick). It was such a fun time with friends and we missed them as soon as they left. We love the Craigs and were so happy they came to play. The rest of the week was spent outside in the sunshine riding bikes and playing at the park.
What a great break!
