Little Smiles

I had a smile on my face most of the day yesterday and I wanted to jot down a few of the reasons why.

1. Kennedy got up picked out an outfit and I let her wear it without either one of us upsetting each other. (smile)

2. Xander gave his favorite spot at the table to his little sister without me asking. (smile)

3. While doing laundry I found out a few things about my family.

• Derek always has a paper towel or tissue in one of his pockets--ALWAYS!
• Kennedy frequently has a jewel or a dandylion/flower in her pockets.
• Xander has ROCKS and lots of them!
• Alli has a penny, nickel, or dime. She must be swiping them from the rest of us.
• This realization gave me a BIG smile. (smile)

4. I took Alli and Xander to library time and Alli's pants kept falling down and showing her bottom and Xander kept trying to pull them up for her. (big smile)

5. I went Visiting Teaching and love the sister I visit. (smile)

6. I took Alli to get a Happy Meal and her big smile made my day. (big smile)

7. I talked and laughed on the phone with a great friend. (smile)

8. I went shopping and Alli slept in her stroller the entire time. (big smile)

9. My kids had a great day at school. (smile)

10. Alli dressed up in dance clothes to take Kennedy to dance and they kept trying to take her upstairs to class. She loved it! (smile)

11. Kennedy came home from school with Halloween pictures she colored and they had the word BOB on them. I asked her why did you put BOB on your pictures? She said "oops I meant BOO". She ran over and added an extra O to her word and so now all her Halloween pictures say BOOB. As childish as that is, I can't stop smiling about that one. (huge smile)

12. My kids ate all of their dinner without a fight. (smile)

13. We carved 3 pumpkins and had a great time together. (big smile)

14. Derek put the kids to bed while I talked on the phone with my mom. (smile)

15. I watched my favorite show while folding laundry. (smile)

16. I went to bed with a smile on my face. (big smile)

I am not going to lie, I did have a frown a few times, like when Xander ran out in the road and gave me a heart attack, or when I got pumpkin goop on my jeans, or when I couldn't find a parking spot, but for the majority of the day I was smiling and that just had to be recorded. :)
