I just wanted to jot this a few things down that my kids have said this week. I don't know what it is about this week, but my kids have made me laugh so much. I love it!
Xander-
We have a box fan (Trashy) in our window and it was falling out and about to hit Alli. Xander jumped in front of it and caught it (with my help). He then says "Don't worry mom I strong, I Batman!" I laughed so hard and he couldn't figure out why. He really believes he is Batman.
Last night at dinner he wouldn't eat anything and kept getting up and walking away. While he was away Derek finished his dinner. Xander came back looked at his plate and says "I ate my dinner all gone! I am a good boy." Derek told him he ate it, but Xander insisted it was him and that he deserved a cupcake. Funny boy.
Kennedy-
We were on a Sunday drive and stopped by someone in the ward's house. Kennedy went inside with her dad for a few minutes and then we were on our way again. In the back seat I over hear Kennedy saying "Xander that was a cool house, I have never had a cool house before." I laughed and said "You don't think our house is cool?" She responded "No. My house is boring, and doesn't have cool things inside." " Can we have a cool house mom?" I said "Not for awhile." She said "Oh man, I really want a cool house."
The other day Kennedy informed me that she can do everything by herself. I said "Everything?" She assured me that she could do everything but then began to list off exceptions. "I can do everything except: tie my shoes, drive, touch hot things, feed Alli, etc... she went on for quite some time and assured me one more time that she could do everything all by herself! :)
I got her ready for church and she comes out of her room and says "don't I look dazzling?" I am pretty sure that has never come out of my mouth so I have no clue where she picks up some of this stuff. :)
Kids say and do such funny things. I was very grateful to President Monson for reminding me to enjoy them now because all too soon they will be grown and gone. I have thought about taht all week and I think I have a greater love for what I am doing on a daily basis.

I love the "dazzling" comment. How funny! Cute little Xander with his I'm so strong comment. Too cute!
What a riot, I just love those kids! It will be interesting to see what Noah comes up with, I already know that he will be a cunning little devil, he's sneaky! Love you!
I love mom moments either when you are laughing or you are crying, there really is nothing better. I loved the one about Kennedy doing everything by herself. That is great.
Hey Kristi! Derek called my on the way home from studying the other day and it made me so happy! He is so fun, and so are the kids. I miss them; don't worry about not having a cool house- I think Bo is terrified of our house because I had to kill a snake for her. She tells people all the time that she wants to go live at grandma's house. ( don't we all.) Have a good weekend!
