Well, October is almost over and as I have been thinking about some of the things that went on during the month and I realized I hadn't written a lot of them down. So, here it goes:
- I got as close to getting into a fight as you can without it happening. Yeah that is right folks at 28 years and a mother of 3 I about got into a rumble. I will give a brief summary for those of you who are dying to know what happened. :) I was walking out of my house with Alli in my arms and Xander by my side when some women comes out of nowhere and starts yelling at me saying that I stole her sons scooter. WHAT! I asked her if she was serious and when she said (bleep) yeah I am serious, that is when I about lost it. First of all don't swear at me in front of my children, and second of all don't call me a thief. She followed me to my car and kept ranting and raving about a 18 dollar scooter. I put Alli and Xander in the car and then I unleashed! I don't know what surprised her more, me not being scared of her (she had me by about 100 pounds) or that I was in her face. I was livid. She claimed that some children had seen a green van driving by and that then her son's scooter was gone. She had been walking around the neighborhood looking for mini vans and then knocked on the doors. RIDICULOUS! I told her if she was that concerned that she could call the police and that I didn't have time for this asanine conversation. I was now late picking up Kennedy and I was angrier than I have been in ages. She would not let it go and wouldn't move so I could leave. I finally showed her that my kids had their own scooters and she backed off a little. I then regained my composure and talked with her calmly. I told her that I felt bad for her little boy, but you can't just go knocking on people's doors and accuse them of something. She still was going on and on so I just got into my car and told her my name and that if she wanted to call the police to go ahead, then I left. I laugh about it now and feel badly for my behavior. I definitely could have handled it better, but I couldn't believe I was being accused of something I would never do.
- I am brainless. I don't know what has happened or if I will ever recover, but I can't remember anything. I went to the store got all my groceries when through the check-out and then realized I didn't have a wallet. I forgot to pay bills this month. I have done our bills the entire marriage and have been on top of it, and for some reason just forgot this month. I forget people's names, can't remember when I say I will do something, and the list could go on and on. I showed up to Kennedy's dance class an hour early one week and then half an our late the next week because I have forgotten what time it started. Crazy! I am Crazy!
- We had our primary program the other day and two ladies in my ward got in a fist fight (no, it wasn't me) during the program and then when my friend went to go break it up she gave her son to a nursery leader (a man) and he threw up all over him. I was dying! Kennedy did great though and the program was beautiful (aren't they always with kids).
- I got in another argument at the park with two older women because they were being rude to my kids. Who comes to the park and then gets mad at little kids for running around? Go to a country club or something. I think they thought they were Venus and Serena out there. Grrr!
- I was called as the activites chairman in my ward and we are having our first event. I am so stressed because no matter how old I am, I feel like I am this little teenager trying to tell adults what to do. I hope all goes well. The good thing is that Derek is my assistant and so he does all my dirty work. :)
- Alli is attempting to crawl--thus my life is over. :)
- We went to a Halloween event here that was so fun. They shut down the main street and lined the entire road with about one thousand jack o lanterns. Everyone wore costumes and the children would go from store to store trick or treating. They had music and a parade, food, hayrides, and a bunch of other fun things. It was great. I love the fun stuff they do here.
- My dad was called as a bishop in my home ward. I was sad I couldn't be there with my family, but they said it was wonderful.
Well that is all I can think of for now, I hope you enjoyed the random thoughts of a crazed lady. :)

I am the first first first first! Yay! I am never the first to comment! I was so scared for you reading that story, she sounded really mean but then I remember your thug days being friends with all of the poly's so I knew you would be okay! I can't stand when people are rude, especially when I did nothing to deserve it! How crazy is that over a 18 $ scooter! But it sounds like fights are happening all the time where you are, in church even! Crazy! Sorry you feel like you are losing your mind, its so frustrating and its discouraging sometimes too! I have to right notes to myself about almost everything or I forget! Love you, miss you guys and your love for sugar cookies, I couldn't get anyone to do them with me, I had to beg lindsay, literally, to come down and frost a few with me! Lame! Anyway talk to you soon!
I love your posts Kristi, they're never boring. Man, that makes me miss you even more. About the brain part, totally normal, that's what happens when you have 3 small kids ( I know believe me). I used to be smart and remember everything. Now that my brain has been attacked by sleep-deprivation, it's not functioning nearly as well.
And who's that crazy lady? Some people are just off their rocker. As for the fight in church, I would so have loved to have been there. You'll have a story to tell! I'm actually laughing right now just thinking about it.
Chloe wants Kennedy to come play, it's the first time she misses a friend. We miss you!
I also am sending peaceful vibes your way. Breath in, breath out,... :)
Oh dear Kristi. I guess there are some reasons why it is good to be from the hood. People are a little shocked when you can stand your ground with the best of them. I'll have to tell you about my postman story/ and my Wal-mart photo lady story another day. I can't beleive she just accused you like that though. How annoying!
That cracks me up about the fight/ throw-up incident at the primary program. Who gets in a fight in sacrament? Too funny.
I love you and your stories. Thanks for the comic relief.
Hey you had a fun October! I wish I could have been there to see you open a can on those ladies! I thought our Primary program was good!! But your Halloween Party sounded like so much fun! That is so great that there are fun things like that to do. I hope there have some fun activities here tomorrow. I think I have the guts to stand up to people but then when I try to speak my mind, Im afraid that (in this crazy world) they will have a gun or something. So I am actually a pretty big wuss. you should come protect me! I like that you and derek work together in your calling I bet that is pretty amusing:) love ya guys
West Valley pride never leaves huh! That is too funny about the fight you got in and even funnier about the primary program. That cracks me up, I can only hope for something as good in my ward. My life is insane right now. Good luck with the whole crawling thing. Give your kiddos a kiss from me.
Kristi I can't believe I haven't commented on this yet. I was cracking up when I read it because I thought of how you were in Jr. high and how you could really kick some trash if you wanted. Love it! Way to stand up for yourself!!
HA! LOL! Was the lady on drugs!? She sounds crazy! I think you handled it very well. I mean really, what else are you suppost to do?
Kristi,
You and my Michelle sound like you could be blood related. I can see everything you said happening to her ...... with the same reaction. The thing I love about you two is how honest you are about it all. I wish I would of been with you when you were taking your little ones to the van and that lady attacked you. I would of taken care of it. Love you, Aunt Vicki
PS The Moores do call me the Oklahoma Tornado-don't get me wrong I try it by killing them with kindness, but it works...usually.
