Allow me to Whine

It came, it really came! After a month of waiting, our belongings finally have arrived. (Whew) I am so thrilled I can't even begin to tell you. The down side is that a few things got thrashed and broken. Now I don't know about you, but I figure when you pay a pretty penny for your stuff to get out to you  it should do so in a safe and timely manner.  I have now since learned that that is not the case.  I can't believe all the stress and frustration this whole ordeal has caused.  Live and learn I guess--I just wish learning didn't cost so darn much!

Items that didn't make it or were damaged. (moment of silence)
- kids bookshelf
- kids dresser
- my nightstand
- glasses
- Xander's bed
- bed spread (water damage)
- Alli's block holder
- Plate
- Headboard

Just to name a few. :(

I know that I am being a whiner, but I still can't believe that a company can be in business when they do such a horrible job.  So for any of you who are moving--Don't hire a moving company! It is just not worth it.

Bless your heart. I think you have been extremely patient and you are not whining-just stating the truth!! Did you have insurance to recoup some of that?

Hope you are settling in nicely.
Love ya, Aunt Vicki

You are not whining, you have every right to be mad!! I have heard so many horror stories about moving companies, unbelievable.
Well, I bet it's some comfort to finally have your stuff though.
Kennedy looked so cute in her preschool pics. Chloe is having her one year review next week. She's been doing so well, I'm afraid she's going to get bumped from the free program.
Good luck!

Um, what is that is going on? Do they compenstate anything for the damaged items? Ridiculous!!

I'm so sorry Kristi. How frustrating!!! This might sound mean, but I would call the Better Business Bureau (whatever state you did the business in), and make a complaint. I've never done this, but my neighbor had to for something, and she ended up getting fully compensated. Just a thought. I am glad you have atleast some furnishings finally. In 20 years or so, this will be funny when you look back on it. Love ya!!
