Erica

My sister Erica and her two kiddos, Samie and Jake, came to visit. I didn't really let myself get excited until I knew they were in fact in the state of Maine, then I couldn't stop being excited. It is such a journey for anyone to come visit (not to mention pricey) but we LOVE LOVE LOVE visitors for sure!

Our first adventure was to the Botannical Gardens. It was fantastic! I wish we would have been about three weeks earlier, (heat wave killed a lot of things) but it was still so gorgeous and so much fun! We could have spent a lot more time wandering and discovering, but we were on a schedule. :) We first visited the children's garden area that is new this year and it is great! We spent the majority of our time here and the kids loved all the different spots to explore.

Big Leaf Garden
The Maze
They would've played tag here for hours
Pumpkin Patch
They had ginormous pumpkins!
Water spout and Sand box
Every kids dream and every mother's nightmare!
Hunting for frogs
They wouldn't leave this spot. We had to threaten and drag them away from checkign out the frogs and tadpoles and frogs with tails. It was cool to see them at all different stages. They really enjoyed this part the most I think.
Kennedy caught one!
Giant tree house
cute boy
Hanging out under the tree house
love this picture!
Fairy Forest
We built the BEST house for fairies it included: a boat, christmas tree, rugs, doors, roof, walk way, shrubs and shells.

What fairy wouldn't want to live in this house?
Beautiful
They loved it!
The gardens have a few different areas. We enjoyed the children's the most, but they also had the five senses garden that was neat, a meditation garden, a waterfall, and a rose garden. We couldn't get to it all, but it was definitely worth the 2 hour plus drive.
