Space case

I scare myself sometimes. I don't know when I lost it, but my memory and recall of things is pretty much gone. Today I woke up entered my daughter's room and told her she could pick whatever she wanted to wear to school today. WHATEVER. I did this because chosing what to wear is a constant battle for us. Sometimes it is because it is gym day and she needs to wear something she can move in, other days it's because it is too hot or cold out, most days it's because she picks the craziest combo ever and I can't handle it. ;) So, today I was giving her free reign. she chose a red shirt that said "Idaho Girls Rule" and some royal blue leggings, matched with pastel polka dot socks and hot pink sparkle shoes and she wanted a side ponytail. I said WHATEVER and I meant it......that is until I went downstairs and looked at the calendar to find it is PICTURE DAY.

I was torn. Do I let her be the 80's girl in her class pic, or do I ask her to change. I explained the situation to Kennedy and she was heart broken. :( I asked her to change into a cute pink sweater and she got tears in her eyes. I felt really bad. I had even told her she could pick her hair that day and now I had changed everything (this might not seem like a big deal, but it really is for her). She changed her clothes and hair style "just for you mom" and I felt really loved! She did make me promise to let her choose her clothes and hair for the next two or three days NO MATTER WHAT! :)

I love that girl to pieces and so glad she forgives me so willingly!

I would have loved to see her on the "Bad Paid For Photos" on Ellen!!

P.S. It's a scientifically proven fact that women lose points in their IQ after having children...as if we haven't sacrificed enough!!

Sweet Kennedy! "Just for you mommy". So sweet. I feel your pain on this. I seriously need restraints sometimes. In fact it was all I could do today to hold myself back and let her leave the house. She has started doing her hair by herself (on Saturdays and other non-school days besides Sunday)and it is AWESOME!!!! Are you hearing my sarcasm? Why did they grow up so fast? Pretty sure we should still be choosing their outfits and doing their hair! Sigh.

I would of loved to see the 80's hair in her wedding video. You can use that little info to make her feel better!

Did you get any pictures? I want to see that recreated! She would have been cute anyway! But I know how much it means to them to make their own choices, everyday it's a battle to get noah in something besides soft pants, his favorite shirt, and of course his white socks with crocs! Yikes! At least you can put a cute bow in her hair and make it work:) I love to strut out so proud of his clothing choice, he puts his hands on his hips and shifts his wait and just waits for my appraisal! Funny kids!
