Kennedy's First Day of Big K

Kennedy has been ready for Kindergarten forever it seems. She loves to learn and loves to be social, so school is her favorite place to be (for now). She had afternoon Pre K last year and the early morning wake up call was a little rough on her. In most of the pics I took her eyes are still half open. :) She was very excited for her new outfit and begged me to flat iron her hair--all girl that one. She loved her new purple back pack and had a picture of her family in it in case she missed us.
So excited!!
Ready to learn

Waiting for the bus
I can't believe how much she has grown this past year. She climbed the stairs without hesitation and didn't look back. She eventually did look at me because the bus driver told her to so I could take another picture. :) Yes, I am THAT embarassing.

reluctant to pose
off she goes.....
Off the the bus and wondering "What are you doing here?"
Here she is with her new teacher Mrs. G.
She is such a nice lady (what K teacher isn't)

She found a few of her old friends and was able to run around on the playground until it was time to start school. Kennedy only knows one other girl in her new class, and was very sad to know that some of her favorite frineds wouldn't be in her class, but she was happy to know she could see most of them at recess.

Kennedy, Brianna, McKenzie, Stephanie, and Manny
About two weeks before school started Kennedy finally learned how to swing all by herself. It wasn't without a lot of hard work and practice. She really wanted to be able to do it before Kindergarten, and I am so glad she did!
Look at me GO mom!
It has never been hard for me to send Kennedy to school because I know she LOVES it. She is such an amazing little girl and I am so happy she enjoys friends and school. I can't believe how fast time flies and how quickly they grow up. Oh, how I love my little Kindergarten Baby!

I Love the outfit! :o) She looks so cute. Good to see she had a great first day. It always helps when they have friends they know to make things a little less intimidating.
