Beach Babies

We try to never miss an opportunity to go to the beach, so on Saturday we headed to Acadia and played at Sand Beach. LOVE it! We got up bright and early, packed a lunch and headed for sand and sun.We were there long enough to build a few castles, bury one another, read, jump in the freezing cold waves, and get a sunburn.

I was busy trying to capture this little guy for a picture that I didn't see a little entourage of people show up. They were all laughing and pointing at Xander and then turned to me and asked if they could take a picture of him too. (Who wouldn't want a picture of this boy?)

The woman who asked me was none other than THE Martha Stewart! So what did I do? I took a picture of her taking a picture of my son--of course. ;) I knew immediately it was her by her voice, but then she said she was going to tweet it and I for sure knew it was a "celeb" (who else tweets, right?) Her crew got out some big cameras and they grabbed a shot and Xander just sat there smiling away.

Hahaha it still makes me laugh thinking about it.

We buried each other a few more times after that and got sand in all the wrong places before we decided to leave. I think we all had a great time in the SUN!
