We loved going to Sand Beach so much, that we went again the next weekend. We went with our friends the Rileys and had a great time jumping over waves, looking for treasure, building sand castles, and running around. Jessica and I mostly sat there talking with our feet in the sand (LOVE IT). We were hoping to run into Martha again, but no such luck. ;)
Kennedy, Skyler, and Madi braving the FREEZING water!
Aubrey and Alli
Double Trouble!!!
They have so much imagination. They were pirates looking for buried treasure and played so well together. A man had a metal detector on the beach and they followed him around and dug around for him when they heard a beep. They ended up finding a dime and a pop can. The man was a good sport, but I think he was glad when we had to go. :)
Little Pirates

Xander looks for treasures everywhere he goes. He goes off alone and searches for anything that he thinks is special. I really love this about him! I love seeing what he has found, and his excitement about a simple rock, stick or feather. Here is a picture of his loot. I have now started carrying a bucket in the car so he can have a place to store his findings. :)

We stopped for icecream on the way home and it was the perfect ending to a fun day!
